Between 1881 and 1886, Menelik went to war with the Arsii Oromos and he lost many times. But then he hired local lords and used European arms to crash the Oromos. He did not stop there, he wanted to terrorize them to stay under his rule forever so he chopped their hands and cut their breasts. The time was when Gada Robale was to handover power to Gada Birmaji. Menelik gathered all the people and divided them in to two groups, those who would not resisit his authority and those who wanted to govern themselves under Gada system. And the later were crashed.
